Sunday
Worship....is for ALL the family.... and for ALL families
 | Some of our families
have just one person in them - our biggest family has eight! |
 | Our ages range from
very young to....well we have yet to have our first
centenarian! |
 | Some of our families
come from Sudan, India, Sri Lanka, UK, The Congo and of
course Australia. |
Our Sunday Worship is a
vibrant celebration of our Faith.
Sometimes it is
 | joyful |
 | inspirational |
 | awe-full |
 | confrontational |
 | sad |
 | thoughtful and
thought provoking |
 | mind and faith
stretching |
 | a springboard to
social justice |
Most of our worship is
traditional with regular innovations like drama, participatory
involvement, audio- visual etc. We sing from
Together in Song
(the new Australian
hymnbook) and enjoy a cross section of traditional hymns as well
as a wide range of contemporary Christian music.
Usually we have a sermon
after the children have gone out to Sunday School. People
who have expressed a wish to lead parts of our worship, read the
Bible, offer a prayer etc are encouraged to do so.
We like to include a wide
range of worship experiences:
 | About once a month we
have a special
Family Service
which aims to involve young families and especially children.
On those occasions our children remain in worship for the
whole service. |
 | Once a month, worship
is prepared and led by one of our very talented and committed
lay worship teams. |
 | Every couple of months
we have a visitor who tells us about the work of the Church
in some frontier or wider church ministry. |
We celebrate
Holy Communion
at least once a month.
